Our Committees
Suzanne is a second year from upstate New York majoring in Public Policy and Economics. She joined PDI her first year and has worked on creating blog posts about agricultural subsidies and their environmental impacts. As a member of the Recruitment and Community Committee, she is excited to publicize the organization among students to amplify its impact. Outside of PDI, she participates in other student organizations such as the Undergraduate Student Government Committee on Campus Sustainability. She loves to spend time outdoors, cook vegan foods, and explore downtown Chicago in her free time.

Suzanne Sokolowski

Suzanne is a second year from upstate New York majoring in Public Policy and Economics. Keishi is a third year from Japan majoring in Economics with Specialization in Data Science. He joined PDI in Spring 2021 and has since been involved in projects surrounding immigration, climate, and energy policy. As the ambassador to the Global Student Policy Alliance—an international coalition of student-led think tanks—Keishi works to orient PDI towards global issues and organize joint research to arrive at shared solutions for humanity. Outside of PDI, Keishi appreciates Rachmaninoff and Playboi Carti, reads the Financial Times, and tries to replicate his grandmother’s food (often unsuccessfully) in his new apartment.

Sophie is a second year studying public policy. She is excited to help expand PDI's impact as a member of the research committee through facilitating projects and forming partnerships with other research and policy centric groups. Beyond PDI, Sophie is a member of UChicago’s cross country and track teams and a research assistant in the Department of Sociology. She also facilitates creative writing workshops at Cook County Jail with the IOP. Originally from Virginia, Sophie loves to hike, backpack, and trail run in her free time
